V-Rings, Environmental Excluder
Dirt and contaminants exclusion seal
For sealing dynamic, rotary motion

V-rings are flexible rubber seals that stretch-fit onto the shaft and rotate with the shaft against a counter face. They are specifically designed to protect the primary seal from contaminants. These seals are …More Info not designed to seal pressure differentials or to seal against fluid levels; they are primarily for contaminants exclusion. The seal design utilizes centrifugal force to prevent intrusion of contaminants into the bearing chamber.
V-Rings, Environmental Excluder
Typical Applications
– Axial dirt and contaminant exclusion seal, no pressure sealing
– These seals are very commonly used to protect bearings on rollers in steel mills, paper mills, cement mills, machine tools, spindles, electric motors, pillow blocks, pumps, gear boxes, conveyors, rolling mills, mining equipment, agricultural equipment, among others.

Light duty V-ring
Light-duty dirt-exclusion seal.
The seal is stretched onto the shaft and rotates with the shaft and seals axially against the bearing side wall, housing, washer or even the heel of the pressure seal. The flexible sealing lip applies a light axial force that reduces as the shaft RPM increases, leading to very low friction and heat. Low contact force allows the seal to accommodate coaxial misalignment or runout. Small quantities are available in 1 to 3 days.

Heavy-duty V-Ring
Heavy-duty dirt-exclusion seal.
The seal is stretched onto the shaft and rotates with the shaft and seals axially against the bearing side wall, housing, washer or even the heel of the pressure seal. The flexible sealing lip applies an axial force that reduces as the shaft RPM increases, leading to low friction and heat. Low contact force allows the seal to accommodate coaxial misalignment or runout. It has a wider and tapered body that provides greater clamping force for the v-ring, allowing use in heavily contaminated environments. Small quantities are available in 1 to 3 days.

Split V-Ring
Split dirt-exclusion seal.
The R6VE is secured to the shaft by a clamping device and seals against the bearing face. It can be fitted in situations without disassembly of the equipment. The seal spins with the shaft and uses centrifugal force to create exclusion force. Small quantities are…
