Symmetrical SC-Spring Rod or Piston Seal with Round Seal Lips
For use as either rod or piston seal in dynamic sealing application. SC-spring provides a deflection range similar to the V-spring but with a relatively flat and moderate spring load versus deflection, making it ideal for friction-sensitive sealing applications. The rounded contact surface of the seal lip promotes a thicker lubrication film on the mating sealing surface, leading to less wear and a longer seal life. The seal may weep in high-speed reciprocating applications, and is not recommended for abrasive media.
