N101 is a black Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber commonly referred to as NBR, Nitrile or Buna. Nitrile forms the most common group of elastomers for general sealing use. N101 has good physical properties and is superior to most rubbers in regard to compression set and tear and abrasion resistance. It offers high resistance to mineral-oil based hydraulic fluids, silicone greases, petroleum-based oils, water and alcohols.

N101 is used for lip-seals, U-cups, and special sealing applications up to a temperature of 212°F (100°C). Precautions should be taken to avoid exposure of Nitrile to highly polar solvents like acetone, MEK, chlorinated hydrocarbons and nitro hydrocarbons, which cause rapid and extreme deterioration.

Temperature Range: -13°F to 212°F (-25°C to 100°C)*
