Proprietary Materials |
AHP Seals, proprietary materials were specifically developed to address real-world application challenges. Our proprietary materials have special properties which make them ideal for “on-the-edge” situations, such as high heat or extreme operating conditions, in which most standard materials fail to do the job.
AHP Seals, proprietary materials fall into three groups: |
Duralast materials are specially formulated elastomers developed for extreme operating conditions, e.g., high temperature steam, low temperatures or highly abrasive environments, yet still maintain the excellent flexibility and ductile properties that make elastomers such good sealing materials. |
Duraloy materials are specially formulated engineering plastics for use as wear ring material and high-pressure anti-extrusion rings. Duraloys exhibit the strength and wear properties needed to function properly in applications in which more traditional materials degrade because of the operating conditions or medium. |
Permachem materials are ultra-high-performance engineering plastics for use as sealing materials in environments in which the temperature or medium will destroy traditional sealing materials. |
Also available: Phenolic, and a full line of ultra-high performance plastic materials such as Fluorosint®, Torlon®, Duratron®, Ryton®, Celazole® and Vespel®
