American High Performance Materials

U101 is a thermoplastic with a very unique combination of physical and mechanical properties. It performs well under the most rigorous conditions of wear. Not only does it have the highest known impact strength of any thermoplastic currently available, but it also offers high resistance to abrasion. In addition to these properties, a very low coefficient of friction, extremely low moisture absorbtion and excellent chemical & corrosion resistance make U101 an extraordinary material for industrial wear, impact and sliding applications. U101 is non-toxic, odorless, tasteless and FDA compliant for use in food processing and handling equipment. It is also USDA approved for direct contact in meat and poultry processing.
Temperature Range:
Up to 176°F (Up to 80°C)

T101 Teflon® Virgin is a tough high temperature material offering the widest range of applications. Resistant to almost all chemicals (only solid alkalies can attack Teflon), the lowest coefficient of friction and high impact resistance makes it suitable for wide chemical exposure situations, with emphasis on temperature extremes.

It is used for spring-energized seals, V-packings, 0-rings, back-up rings, valve seats & seals and machined components used in the chemical industry, food industry for processing equipment, high temperature and low friction sealing applications.

Particulare care should be taken to avoid nicking or skratching Teflon seals, as imperfections will cause leakage. Virgin Teflon has the tendency to cold flow over time under load or pressure. Filled Teflon is therefore required in critical sealing situations.
Temperature Range:
-328°F to 500°F (-200°C to 260°C)

T201 Teflon® Filled has improved mechanical properties of virgin Teflon T101.The influence of filler materials is particular illustrated by increase in mechanical strength, increase in hardness, reduction of wear and/or friction, improvement in the flow strength and increase in thermal shape stability.
The most importand fillers are: glass, carbon, graphite, bronze, nickel, MOS2, mica, and high performance polymers and minerals.

It is used for spring-energized seals, V-packings, 0-rings, back-up rings, valve seats & seals and machined components used in the chemical industry for processing equipment, for high temperature and for low friction sealing applications.

Particulare care should be taken to avoid nicking or skratching Teflon seals, as imperfections will cause leakage.
Temperature Range:
-328°F to 500°F (-200°C to 260°C)
