S101
is a rusty-orange Methyl Silicone Rubber, commonly refered
as Silicone. S101 is an elastomer which remains flexible
at very low temperatures and can withstand continuous heating
at 392°F (200°C) without hardening, making S101
suitable for high and low temperature applications. Silicone
rubbers have poor mechanical properties and abrasion resistance,
therefore they are mainly used for static sealing applications
and are not recomended for dynamic applications.
S101 also has excellent weatering, ozone and aging properties.
Silicones are highly permeable to gases, and are generally
not recomended for exposure to ketones, concentrated acids,
or steam. Silicone swells considerably in aliphatic and
aromatic hydrocarbon fluids, therefor it should be cosidered
non-resistant to petroleum oils, also it can be used in
high aniline point oils.
Temperature Range: -78°F
to 392°F (-60°C to 200°C)

E101
is a black Ethylene Dien Propylene Rubber, commonly refered
as EPDM. It is used in hot water or steam applications,
glycol-based brake fluids, alkalies as well as in fire resitant
fluids (HFC) and some Phosphate Esters. E101 is also used
in bases, acids, and alcohols. E101 is not resitant to mineral
oil based fluids, diester based lubricants or aromatic fuels
as well as vegetable and animal oils. E101 is used for standard
and special sealing applications as hydraulic or rotary
seal, O-rings, flange seals and gaskets up to 302°F
(150°C).
Temperature Range: -40°F
to 302°F (-40°C to 150°C)

V101
is a Fluorocarbon elastomer, commonly refered as VITON®
or FPM. V101 is resitant to fire resitant fluids, Phosphat
Esters, mineral oils, greases and most inorganic acides and
chemicals. V101 is also highly resistant to swelling in gasoline
and gasoline/alcohol blends. V101 is not recommended for exposure
to ketones, low molecular weight esters and ethers, nitro
hydrocarbons, amines, hot hydrofluoric and chlorosulfonic
acids and Skydrol fluids. A low gas-permeability makes V101
good for hard vacuum applications.
V101 is used for U-cups, lip seals, O-rings, V-packings and
special seals in chemical processing, oil-recovery equipment,
and in high temperature sealing applications up to 392°F
(200°C).
Temperature Range: -4°F
to 392°F (-20°C to 200°C)
