American High Performance Materials

L101 is a cast Polyamide impregnated with lubricants to improve dry-run. L101 has very good physical properties and is one of the most widely used engineering plastic in the industry today.
L101 is resistant to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, greases, esters and ketones. Due to the good mechanical properties and low coefficient of friction, it is used for wear-rings, bearings back-up rings and general engineering components.
Temperature Range:
-4°F to 248°F (-20°C to 120°C)

M101 is a Polyoxymethylene thermoplastic polymer (Acetal). It has gained widespread recognition for reliability of performance. M101 has high mechanical strength, rigidity, dimensional stability, high impact strength and good abrasion. It is used for wear rings, back up rings, bushings and bearings, and general engineering components with tight tolerances. Since Acetal absorbs only minimal amounts of moisture, its physical characteristics will remain constant in a variety of environmental conditions. Bearings made from Acetal will out perform Nylon in conditions of high moisture (including submerged applications). Although this material is attacked by strong acids and bases, it has good resistance to solvents, some other chemicals, mineral oil and water bases hydraulic fluids.
Temperature Range: -58°F to 230°F (-50°C to 110°C)

F101 is a special formulated Tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) Elastomer (Aflas®). F101 provides excellent resistance to aggressive oils, lubricants, a number of acids, alkalies and coolants. Aflas® F101 also exhibits excellent steam resistance. It is also highly resistant against HFC, HFD, amines, phosphate esters as well as brake fluid DOT 3 and DOT 4. F101 exhibits good resistance to petroleum fluids and has generated considerable interest as a seal material for oil field, industrial and chemical applications where other materials fail.
Temperature Range:
5°F to 403°F (-15°C to 206°C)
